Silk Lisu Purse

Sure to accent any outfit, these rich-colored silk purses feature an appliqué design on the exterior that was created by the Lisu people of Thailand. They have one main pocket with snap closure, a front slip pocket, and a short cord making them appropriate for an evening out! Offered in three color choices: purple, turquoise, and fuchsia. Fabric is 60% velvet, 40% silk. This hand-crafted item is the product of a member of the Lisu tribe. Villages of this colorful ethnic group are located in the mountains of China, Burma, and northern Thailand. There are approximately 22, 000 Lisus living in Thailand. For many generations the main means of livelihood for many of the Lisu people has been the cultivation of the opium poppy.
